-I have used a combination of my own footage, stills from other music videos and basic drawings to construct a storyboard for my video -The storyboard is line by line and includes descriptions of the shot types, mise-en-scene, and action taking place in each shot -It also includes editing techniques between each shot such as match cuts -This will help me when filming my video, as I will be able to refer to this storyboard to know exactly which footage I need to capture

-I have shot some practice footage to my song, and received feedback from my focus group which I will be sure to incorporate into my video -Members of my focus group liked the lighting, colour palette and natural mise-en-scene within the video. However, they suggested I include some more match cuts and shot types as well as a variety of locations, which I will be sure to add in to my whole video -My practice footage has also helped me in constructing my storyboard plan for the video

By analysing this video, I have discovered some ideas and conventions I would like to incorporate into my own. These include: -the shot types and sequencing used in the beginning of the video, where the artist is seen waking up and walking around a room -similar but not identical lighting throughout, as it makes the video more visually cohesive -build up to a dramatic performance scene which conveys lots of emotion, specifically of the artist themselves lip syncing to emphasise lyrics -use of white sheets as props/mise-en-scene, although mine will be used to convey the concept of 'making the bed' so will be used in a slightly different way -cyclical structure of same shot types and artist body language at the beginning and end of video -links to artist page at the end to create digital convergence between the video and website

By analysing this video, I have discovered some ideas and conventions I would like to incorporate into my own. These include: -the use of mise-en-scene to create a natural bedroom setting, for example the artist wearing pyjamas in certain shots and the use of bedding -voyeuristic shots of the artist in bed in the middle of a room being watched by others, also a good way to include different social groups within the video -big scene near the end with pillows and duvets being thrown around, although instead of a pillow fight mine would be more solo and emotional shots of the artist -cyclical structure of final scenes ending up in the same place as opening sequence -links to artist page at the end to create digital convergence between the video and website

By analysing this video, I have discovered some ideas and conventions I would like to incorporate into my own. These include: -shots taken through a mirror, as audiences almost feel like they are watching the artist from their own perspective and it can be a good way to convey emotions and facial expressions -screens within screens and elements of voyeurism, especially having the artist watch themselves on screen as this has elements of postmodernism and creates a hyperreality -intertextual references with posters or images as part of the mise-en-scene -build up to one big intense, emotional scene which in which the visuals reflect the music and lyrics -cyclical structure with final shots mirroring the opening sequence -links to artist page at the end to create digital convergence with website and video
